Common Loons are iconic birds of northern lakes that captivate us with their mysterious vocalizations and devotion to their chicks. This talk will cover much of what we know about loon behavior and ecology through the lens of a scientist who has studied them for the past 30 years. Along the way, he will share many of his personal experiences and up-close encounters with loons throughout North America.
