James Paruk is one of the world’s leading experts on the Common Loon. He has studied breeding and wintering loons across North America for the past 30 years. He will talk about his new book, Loon Lessons: Uncommon Encounters with The Great Northern Diver and share his knowledge and experiences with these iconic birds. He is a professor of biology at St. Joseph’s College in Standish, Maine, where he teaches ornithology, animal behavior, and biology.
